Private Non-Profit Public Notice of Equitable Services
Warren ISD is able to apply for federal funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Therefore, we are required under Section 1117 and Section 8501 to have a timely and meaningful consultation with private non-profit (PNP) school officials. Such consultation must occur before any decision being made that affects the opportunities for eligible private school students or teachers to participate in programs. A private non-profit is eligible to participate only if it can provide documentation of 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and the students meet program eligibility.
If or when Warren ISD plans to apply for federal funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, there will be a meeting scheduled for public participation.
During this meeting Warren ISD would discuss available federal programs and services for eligible private school students , parents/families and teachers to include: Title I Part A – Improving the Academic Achievement of the Disadvantaged; Title I, Part C-Migrant Education; Title II, Part A-Teacher and Principal training and Recruitment; Title III – English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement & Academic Achievement; Title IV – Student Support & Academic Enrichment; Individuals with Disabilities Education Act-Part B (IDEA -B); and IDEA -B Preschool Program.
