Geography is a challenge for many kids (and adults!). Many people can't locate even well-known areas of the world on a map.

Posting a large wall map in your house can help your child begin to learn what’s where. Display the map in a place that's easy to see and touch.

Encourage your child to use the map to:

Look up the places where the toys, clothes and other items in your home are made.
Locate the places mentioned in the books you read together, in the news and on TV.
Follow the travels of a favorite sports team or band by marking their locations.
